Too Many Two's
Too Many Two’s
Hi my name is Jessica Acosta and I am your child’s 2 year old teacher. I was born here in Miami, and have remained here ever since. I live with both of my parents, names Lisa and Henry. My mom is a retired Federal Probation Officer and my dad works with lighting. I also have a younger brother which I’m very proud of. He is heading to UF this school year to begin his BA. While I am not married yet, I have been in a 5 year relationship with my boyfriend Willie, whom I met at church in 2012.
I attended Robert Morgan Educational Center for high school, where I completed the program in Early Childhood Education. During my four years in that program I learned so much about becoming a preschool teacher. We also had a preschool on site which allowed me to get the experience of working with children, so by the time I graduated I felt confident in my first classroom. After graduating high school, I started working at my first preschool as an assistant teacher for two-year-olds.
During my time there I began my AA in Early Childhood Education at Miami Dade College. Now I am currently at Florida International University completing my BA in Early Childhood Education.
Last year was my first year working at Miami Baptist in the 2 1/2 year old class. I truly fell in love with working with 2 year olds. I am very excited to be working in the young 2’s room this year. Starting off this school year, we will be working with our colors, shapes, and numbers. We will also begin potty training right away so get ready parents! We will also learn much this month about loving and respecting God and our parents.
I am really looking forward to all that this school year will bring. I’m praying that you all have a great year too!
