Mrs. Cara Vera
My name is Cara Vera and I teach Kindergarten here at Miami Baptist School.
I hold a B.S. degree in Early Childhood Education with endorsements in Literacy, Special Education, and English as a Second Language (ESOL): 2-8. I also have a M.Ed. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL): K-12 and am certified by the State of Florida to teach up to third grade. During my ten years at MBS, I have worked with all age groups, from twos to six-year old children.
My husband of twenty-seven years and I have five grown children and three grandchildren. When not teaching at the school, I may be found spending time with our family, sharing good food, or working in church ministry.
There is a wonderful promise in the Bible that inspires me in life, “For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11). That is my source of hope and joy when thinking about the responsibility and opportunity that God has given me as an educator of young children.
